Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park offers you a Tjapukai Full Experience package. This package has all the inclusions of General Admission and fully loaded with other authentic cultural experiences.

The Full Experience is a combination of Guided Bush Food Trail, Cultural Creations, delicious Bayngga Buffet Lunch and Afternoon Tea of Damper and native fruit Jams. This will include the following:

Guided Bush Food Trail

  • Learn about native plants, bush foods and traditional medicine
  • Taste native fruit jams, homemade damper and billy tea


Cultural Creations

  • Paint a boomerang with Indigenous artist
  • Learn the art of weaving
  • Make traditional Jewellery


You will also have a delicious buffet lunch in Flame Tree Restaurant. To participate in the Full Experience, you must arrive at the park before 1:00 P.M.

Tour price is $138 for adults and $85 for children ages 4-14 years old. A family package (consisting of 2 adults and 2 children) is available for $361.

Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park is located approximately 12 km north of Cairns and about 50 km south of Port Douglas.

By Self-drive

From Cairns, you can reach your destination via National Route 1. 
From Port Douglas, the park can be accessible via Captain Cook Hwy / State Route 44.

By Bus

Catch a bus operated by Translink Route 123 from the Cairns City Place Bus Stop and returns from Tjapukai Bus Stop. 

By Taxi

You can take a taxi with Cairns Taxis. It will take you directly to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park in approximately 12 minutes. The estimated cost range is $55 - $70.
